The promise of Scripture is that “everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” [2 Timothy 3:12] What do we know about suffering in the American Church? Have we compromised the Gospel so we might not suffer insults, risk our jobs, or lose family members & friends? If there is to be a day of great awakening again in our land it is going to begin with a prayer – from those who confess the name of the Lord Jesus – that we are willing to follow Him, in the power of the Spirit, at any cost.
